Poking About

Last week my Mom (Mum) and I had a terrific girls day out. We poked "aboot" at our favorite antique shop in Toronto and had a lovely lunch, catching up and laughing 'face-to-face' instead of over the phone. These are a few of our finds.

Backyard Oasis

This backyard is an NYC oasis in my mind. If I lived here, I would drink my morning coffee and read The Times looking out at all that green. Liam, my 4-year old, bugged out when he saw this tent at his pals townhouse. I'm now making a tent with a sheet over his bed before he falls asleep...I'm becoming quite a tent master.

Wonderfulness

I find these pictures easy on the eye. The wallpaper rocks and it hails from my friend Maria's Chelsea apt - she has the most incredible taste. Sweetiepie is every little girls dream restaurant and they make a mean latte. I love white hydrangeas, especially beside my bed. They are such a happy flower. I hope you enjoy this mosaic as much as I do.

I'm loving the African landscape in the new Mark Burnett show called Expedition Africa on The History Channel. I took this picture when I was in Uganda a few years ago and it is one of my all time favs.
